Marcoooooooooo Mendoza

Ok, I have started it. Let's talk about Marco in here.

Both Cat and Dean gave raving reviews and I went looking for his stuff. I ordered "Live For Tomorrow" off cduniverse. After listening to the song samples about 300 times each, the killers on here for me have got to be Dance With Me, I Want You and Your Touch.

Wondering, Cat have you caught any of his shows at the LaVeLee Jazz Club?
Anyone else seen him or met him?

(Cat pls answer as many times as you wish, I certainly dont mind looking at the avatar and slobbering all over my screen, I have back ups )

Ok here is your first glimpse for the day!!!

"Live for Today" is awsome. Pls pay close attention to "Still in Me" - after you get off your knees let me know what you think. (by the way - that is his daughter on the cover. He had picked her up after school on the way to the photo session for the cover- and the photographer thought she was a natural)

"Still in Me" is a song that Marco wrote and recorded live (at the LavaLee of course) originally on the record the trio did Mendoza-Neto-Heredia.

That cd is available on his site as well. If you get that one, you are going to be so surprised at the way they work "Susie-Q", the James Brown classic "I Feel Good" and the live version of "Still in Me".

Again, after you stop beating the floor with your hands screaming "yes" "Yes"

No< I have not made the LaVeLee - I am an east coast person, and have been too ill to travel this past year.

However, I have spoken to Marco on the phone from there. He even took his phone on stage so the entire place could hear us discuss how he was coming with the new cd (this was about 6 months before its release) -

Not only is he extremely talented (and funny as hell) he is intelligent and one of the kindest people on this plantet.

He's one of the good guys!!!

Lula has seen him many times there. He usually plays Tuesday's. Small little place, kicks ass.

I know and we will have to miss that because we will be in Dallas for Journey when they are in Orlando Figures everything goes on the same weekend.
