So you see your favorite singer/star in a restaurant.

Do you prove that you were raised in a barn and interrupt their meal?
Do you carry on like a maniac?
Take pics of them eating?
Take a video?
Do you wait until they are finished before you barge in?


This could actually apply anywhere.....

I can think of one in particular living in the great northwest!

I know exactly who you are talking about too. How did you hear about that? They found out where he was and actually went there. I hear they made fools of themselves in the process. Not cool.

And same here Happytrails, I've been to restaurants a couple times with fave musicians, and I would never even think of intruding on them, if we hadn't been invited in the first place. Once you get the first couple minutes of "holy shit!" going on, out of your head, they are just people too!

I cut a fart riding in a car with Neal Schon and he had to smell it. True story.

If I even noticed it was someone famous ('cause why would they be in my small city), I'd probably stare...hard!

But I wouldn't go up to them or act like an idiot (even though I'd be having hysterics inside) 'cause I'm shy.

Hear about it? It is one of her favorite stories.....she has a degree in "bragging" about everything she has done....and I mean EVERYTHING.

Even in the video you can tell he is quite pissed off!!

No IN is not the great northwest, is it? Hate for any singer to get a bad impression of IN 'cause that's where I live.

This is basically about right and wrong and the level some people would go to to show their ignorance.

Well, I wouldn't bother anybody at a restaurant, whether famous or not, if I don't know them...unless they made the first move. Not a complete heathen!

But does one who has "celebrity status" not have the right to privacy even in a public setting?

Ex.....true story. There was a movie (actually scenes for the movie) shot here 2 years ago. The star, big star, was on ER, salt and pepper hair, was in a couple of the Oceans movies, went to a church service on Sunday. When he realized that more than 1/2 the people where pointing or had their heads turned somewhat like Blair could do in the Exorcist, he left the church. More than 1/3 of the church left behind him.

Ya, that's not cool IMO. If I had been in that church, I wouldn't have followed him. But I would have had to politely pull a tissue out of my purse and wipe the drool off my chin.

Not really into "celebrities" nowadays...even if I am addicted to forums. Which is ok 'cause forums are probably the last place you'd actually "meet" a celebrity. I'm just rather agoraphobic and this is a way to connect with strangers...just kinda got sucked into the Journey/SP sites 'cause SP was my favorite singer for the longest time.

As for George (if that's who you meant), he can worship in peace 'cause I don't collect autographs.

I originally joined the Journey site before I knew anything about SP leaving and SA joining...you can guess the rest! I sorta got piled on 'cause I asked a question about SP.

I spent most of my time at USPFC for about a year (weird place) The owner of PV contacted me by PM telling about her sites...there only a couple of months.

Yes it is absolutely true. This happened in Boston post show. Rockindeano was there as was JSS. Not sure if they enjoyed it or not. I was pretty drunk at the time.

Shall I tell my tale? It's fresh in my memory 'cause a couple of months ago I found the box of papers I started compiling when I thought about going to the police. Several years ago I met someone online that apparently was from the area where I live and things got creepy.

Just a cautionary tale...nowadays no one is safe in this techno world. Nobody (even non-celebs) are safe from people bothering them while they go about their business. One reason I hate cameras on phones...bet celebrities hate them even more than I do!
