I'm fucking sick and tired of...

Not having any local musicians to collaberate with for this album!!! Not that any of you want to hear this shit, but I'm frustrated as hell trying to find musicians that are interested and/or capable of working on music that is 80's style. All I see out there are people who are into modern rock, southern rock, metal, etc.... This is fucking frustrating!!! I have nearly enough material for a finished album, I have a record label as well as a very high profile person in this style of music (that you all know) who are interested in my tunes....yet I can't find people dedicated enough to do this shit and finish it!

I live in SC. I've been collaberating with various people from all over the WORLD (literally...Scotland, London, Italy, Holland, etc...) but I want to find someone I can sit in a damn room with and work face to face with. It's sooo hard to be motivated, or inspired by transferring files from one computer to another! I'm the type person who thrives in a jam-session environment. I had one of my old singers come over for about 2 hours one day, and I wrote 4 songs right on the spot. They weren't completely finished, but were some awesome rough drafts. The problem is that he is a country singer, those were country songs, and I've gotten to where I can't STAND country!

I would just like to find someone within driving distance, and write a kick-ass rock album! I've looked through every kind of local classified ad you can think of, and apparently I'm the only person in the freaking south that wants to make this album!!!

Then Jim please try to find someone here in the Detroit area. Great talent here in Michigan especially Detroit

I don't have any way to get someone from Detroit (or any other state that far away) to my studio! Unless you know of an amazing singer that could come down here on his own dime, that's completely in tune with this kind of music. Thanks for trying to help though.

Wish I could help out - I've got a stack of muso buddies who are into 80s music, but sadly all are in Australia or the UK. Best I can do is say put me on the list to buy the album once it's done

I hear you brother. I live on long island and I can't find ANYONE into Melodic Rock. Actually, that's not true...I have collaborated with Doug Odell (china blue, TNA, etc) but our schedules have been tough over the past few years....and if we were to do something, Id have to do an online thing just like you're doing, despite the fact we're local to eachother.

What I really want, is to play in a band....and play locally....that's never going to happen, unless I post an ad looking for guys into Green Day and Fallout Boy....frustrating

I feel the pain man. I think I'd probably do another band thing if it were local. I don't have the time (or desire) to spend weekends on the road again. Maybe I'll just luck up one day and find some people. It's just so damn frustrating. Well good luck with the tunes! Oh yeah...Behshad....go find a lollipop and make it diss appear!
