It is great that the Boss admits admiration of Perry - I have read so many say the same thing, from opera singers to heavy metal to thrash

It seems that all true singers admire Mr. P. It is nice that he is so well-thought of by his peers (altho none are equal hehehehe)

Agreed. While Journey is an amazing, legendary band they've always been a bit short on lyric writing, even on alot of Cain-era songs. Not saying Journey doesn't have a few lyrical gems (they do), but pound for pound Bruce is arguably the greatest lyricist of all time not named Dylan.

I don't think Steve can write nearly as well as Bruce can however.

They have completely different styles - Bruce gets all philosophical and Steve is either in or out of love.

I enjoy both.
