Hello out there.

Check here to daily to see what changes I am making to the Board. This is a board for the people and of the people, so I want the people's input. I am trimming some categories and rethinking some stuff. I want this place to be more alive. I don't want a board the stumbles along. I want a board people flock to for information, discussion, comedy and debate, heated debate sometimes with no suppression on the truth.

Merge all the Sports forums into one...

I do think we should keep a Journey forum though.

The sports forums are each seasonal - run them during the season.
(oh and where is the World Cup?? )


Keeping the Journey forum is good to keep the Journey stuff under one roof -
however, I don't think we need a forum for every individual band or artist.

But keep the American bands, Euro Bands, Sucky bands

I have 2 questions.

1. Why is Steve Perry in the "hodgepodge"? He is hardly hodgepodge. There should be a "legends" and his topics in there. Besides there was nothing wrong with SP having his own section. IMO ( I am sure this is pissing someone off - tough shit)

2. Who is the individual in Cat's avatar? I am being forced at work to open this site so 2 ladies that I work with can fawn/gawk/not to mention other things I am sure, when they view this individual. (Pls for my sake Cat tell me this is your better half so that I may get on with my life.)

You're right. Steve Perry is basically God and he will have his own forum in 4 minutes. But to say he is God, how can Bruce not have his own forum or BA for that matter? All equals..in fact Bruce is the top of the food chain....ok ok, Espee gets his own forum. I love that guy.

As for the dude in Cat's avatar, that's the incredible bassist Marco Mendoza. To my ears, there is none better, ever, even Randy Jackson.

Just went and listened to some of his stuff. and going to hunt down some more. I see where he has toured with "the motor city mad man." Interesting.

Just want to say you are doing a great job. It was so fricken boring over at MR. I stopped going over there. So kudos, and the board is already shaping up to be a fun place to hang out. Keep it up.

Loved his playing on the SS album and have listened to a little bit of his stuff with the Nuge. What else has he played on?

Definitely one of those melodic rock players that is highly deserving of some attention outside of our friendly little genre.

Been wanting to know the answer to question TWO for a long time....never get around to asking. So thanks for helping me out! NEver can get by Cat's posts without a LONG gaze.....

That handsome piece of hotness in my avatar is none other than
bass player extrordinaire, Marco Mendoza.

He was the bass player in Soul Sirkus (ok so Neal did one thing I need to thank him for)

No he is not my better half hehehehehe just a friend.

Prior to Soul Sirkus he was in White Snake for a couple of years and played/toured with Uncle Ted (Ted Nugent) on the Craveman and Full Bluntal Nugety cds/tours.

He was recently on the Dave Letterman show with Uncle Ted.

He fills his time playing in Thin Lizzy and is going out on the road with summer with (damn brain - just hit a hole)

His website (and the pics there are a thing of beauty) is www.marcomendoza.com - believe me it is worth the trip.

Marco also recently released a phenomenal solo cd - which I have burned a hole threw hehehe
