6 to 10, maybe more.

I can count the number of TRUE friends on one hand with a couple fingers left over.
There are friends and then there are FRIENDS, IMO.

I am very lucky.

I have a lot of true friends, but if you mean ones I see all the time, then the number drops. People move, find other interests, have families. Still true friends, but you just don't see them as often.

Internet "friends" are a whole other ballgame as I'm sure many of you have found out.

true friends are ones you can count on and support you as you support them and they count on you... Very few friends are in that catagory...

BINGO...and they are there for the LONG haul. Those are hard to find - few and far between.

I have 4-5 really close true friends and two of them are also family members.

as I said earlier - I am very lucky. I am one of the 6-10 votes.

Believe me I know how people disappear not only when your funds start to run out but also through an extreme lengthy illness.

I could not have gotten this far without them.

Hell, they even hold my hair when I puke - and laugh at me along with me.

Now that's friendship.

that is what i mean... awesome... you are VERY LUCKY.

If I would have been asked this question a couple of months ago, I would have said that I have a few but today, I marked none. I suppose I do have one but I have become much more distrustful of people-even good friends, in the past few weeks.

For me I'd have to say 1 maybe 2. I have a hard time trusting people. I've had to many people who claimed to be friends and who said if I ever needed anything they would be there and who were not there when push came to shove. Who have looked me in the eye and lied to me and I've caught them at it.
