Paul Rodgers is not leaving Queen
Saw the MR thread. Let's end this speculation:
PAUL RODGERS is taking a break from QUEEN to reunite his classic rock act BAD COMPANY for a summer (09) tour.
Rodgers, guitarist Mick Ralphs and drummer Simon Kirke plan to hit the road for 10 North American dates, beginning with a concert at the Seminole Hard Rock & Casino in Hollywood, Florida in July (09).
The tour follows a one-off reunion concert at the same venue last year which was recorded for a new live DVD, Hard Rock Live.
Longtime Rodgers collaborator Lynn Sorenson will step in for the late Boz Burrell, who passed away in 2006.
It's a big reunion year for Ralphs, who will be touring with his previous band, Mott the Hoople, in October (09).
Of the Bad Company dates, he says, "We made great music together and had the time of our lives doing it. I'm really looking forward to getting back out there this summer."
Additional dates are unlikely as Rodgers plans to work on new solo material.

This speculation is all coming from the interview in Goldmine. Rodgers is a little on the fence, which is understandable after the failure of Cosmos Rocks (which doesn't really sound like Queen), but far from gone.
Here's what was said:
With the tour now complete and the album in stores, the future for Queen + Paul Rodgers remains a mystery.
“The door is open, as far as I am concerned,” says Rodgers. “If the guys called and had a benefit or charity concert that they were doing, I would be up for that. Playing twice for Nelson Mandela was an enormous honor; he is one of our very few living icons of peace. He is a truly an amazing human being.”
Rodgers reveals, “I don’t know if I want to undertake any more massive four-month tours, although I still love playing shows. Right now, I am home, and I am resting and just waiting to see what my next move will be. I am always going to be active, as music is in my blood.”
The Future
Queen + Paul Rodgers may — or may not — tour again. However, plans are to release a DVD of the band’s 2008 gig in Kiev, where they played to 350,000 people and were televised to another 11 million. Bad Company also played a one-off gig in Florida that will be made into a DVD.

And as for the speculation about JSS, I love him performing Queen songs as much as the next guy. But how much longer do some expect bands like Queen to continue touring? These guys are in their 60's. They are lucky to be above ground. I can certainly understand the hesistance of commiting to another massive tour since they just finished one.
Queen isn't talking about doing anything until sometime in 2010 anyway.

Rogers knows this and has no intention of side tracking his own career, he can jump on and off board the Queen ship as and when...I'm guessing the relatively low success of the Queen album didn't help towards the situation.
If I had one wish it wouldn't be Perry I'd see in concert it would be Freddie.

I'm looking at a Bad Company/Doobie Bros. show in June in Charlotte. Should be a kick ass show!

Bad Co. is playing Atlantic City. I'll probably go. I did get to see Queen + Paul Rodgers 3 years ago. Great time.
