Sick leave today

Not for me though. Check this out. My wife has been out of work the last 2 days. After going to the doctor she found out she's got borderline pneumonia. So she's out again today (unpaid leave - contractual employee). On top of that, I took my daughter for booster shots yesterday and she's running a fever. That means no daycare.

This is going to be a "fun" day. I swear most of my sick leave is used up for stuff like this. All the alcohol keeps me from ever getting sick myself.

Damn man, you need to start feeding your wife and kids some vitamins or something. Seems they're always sick!

These changes in weather haven't been doing my allergies any good, but once I wake up for an hour or so I've been feelin pretty good since I got that flu a few months back.

I'm the same way, Ed. I have never called off for being sick. Today is the 93rd work day of the year (Good Friday was a company paid day off) and I have been here for every single work day this year. My "vacation days" are used for just that ... vacations!

I don't even use sick leave for hangovers. My opinion is you have to man up and be a professional about it. I always go in.

All of my sick leave gets used for these kind of things. Daycare is the main culprit. They won't admit a child if they are running a temperature. I sort of understand that, but for $800 a month you'd think they'd have a quarantine area or something.
