Recording a dvd tonight
I am getting ready to go record the Journey tribute band Frontiers on DVD tonight. This is my first attempt at filming a show of any kind. Wish me luck.

Like I said at the Annex Ed, tell Jer to sing his song.....Let's see how that sounds just for kicks. I'm sure it will sound great....Have fun!! Wish I could be there......Soccer in is full swing though...

He didn't play it, but I did get to hear 2 Revelation demos with him on vocals. UNBELIEVABLE!

Re: Recording a dvd tonight
I have looked at the footage on my camcorder and it looks like I did a good job recording the show. The true test will be when I get the show onto DVD and watch it on a real screen. This was the final performance of the current Frontiers lineup, so I was glad I was able to capture it for them.

Hey Ed, don't think I've met you yet, but I totally agree with 99% of your opinions. That was so cool that you taped the final performance. Hope it turns out great!AR wrote:I have looked at the footage on my camcorder and it looks like I did a good job recording the show. I'd love to hear those demos with Jeremey on vocals.

Only 99%?
Jeremey will eventually be posting those demos on his myspace page soon. Those were realy cool to hear. Never Walk Away has slightly different lyrics in it's original form. I forget the name of the 2nd song.
I'm watching the Frontiers video right now as I type this and I think I did a pretty good job overall. I'll post a clip at some point. I was happy to record it as those guys have been very good to me and are now friends.

In case anyone would like to see how it came out, here's a clip.

On this portion you get the tail end of Faithfully, Edge of the Blade (complete) and a snip of Line of Fire. I shot almost 2 hours of footage. For my first attempt, I am very pleased with it.
