you knew what my vote would be.. Hell yes, they deserve it even if they did fuck up.

So if Big Brown wins the Belmont and thus the Triple crown, and is later found to have had drugs in him that helped him win, should he deserve the Crown?

blondie deserves to be there, just as journey does. but in all seriousness, if so many can knock the bands that are already in as not being derserving or saying the whole thing is a joke, why want journey in?

Yes, Journey should be in the ROCK hall of fame..

...while Madonna, The Beastie Boys, Grandmaster Flash, etc. should be OUT.. good performers yes, influential... but ROCK?! No..

Journey was more influential and a bigger deal in ROCK than any of those folks.

Actually it is NYC - that is the home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation (housed in the same building as that rag, Rolling Stone - whose editor is also now Head of the Executive Committee and Nominating Committee of the HOF - coincidence? I think not)

I was the co-chair for 2 years of the Journey to the Hall of Fame Committee

We worked hard - but had an uphill battle with all of the politics.

The politics are changing now and a lot of the old Journey haters are "honorary" members only - in other words, can't nominate or block a nomination - even the voting members were cut in half - not personally, crap you know what I mean.

As much as I hate Neal ( ) (it's ok, I hated him long before tapegate and the ensuing events) I still believe that the band Journey made significant contributions to the music - and those contributions continue today.

just my opinion - yeah, I know - everyone has one as well as an asshole.

I assume you are referring to "tapegate"

The poll reads "Based on their body of work in the Classic years. Yes."

Most refer to the years up to "Trial By Fire" as the Classic years.

Post- TBF seems to be more of a train wreck (and this is a reference to - not Augeri)

I do agree somewhat with what you said Lora.But don't you think Mr P would love to be in there? They all worked there ass off for the love of the music & the fans.I got to see them 3 times in concert.And let me tell you they worked there bum offI have to say i have seen many concerts but theres was the best of all.Thank You journey & Mr P you all (ROCK)
