That's why I have pornhub bookmarked. Those late night searches can be downright embarassing.

I was just curious because of friend of mine owns a sports talk radio station whose website is www.wnst.net (1570am in Baltimore) He's always touting Alexa rankings concerning his websites traffic. I always wondered how accurate those ranking were.

Alexa is a reasonable guage - in that only those with the Alexa tool bar are included in their stats. But if a certain % of users have that and their useage is broken into %, then the stats must have a relative ratio.

Here is what is going on also and why I have interest in these measurements. I got my friend touting Alexa, while his competitor is waving around Google Trends results. I don't pretend to understand which of these is more accurate or if there is another way to gauge hits/advertising, etc.

There are a few companies out there that look at those rankings for advertising. I know BOTH are looked at, but i think the Google page rank is the key one they look to.
I rate a 3 and one advertiser wasn't interested as he was looking for a 4 rated site. Whatever!
