Know it alls drive me up the freakin' wall! I work with a know it all and it's exhausting. She argues with everyone about everything.

Last week I was sitting at the nurses station talking with a physician about a plan of care for his patient that I was caring for. We were discussing our options. This nurse was sitting in a chair behind us charting and when she overheard us she turned around and started telling us how we were both wrong-and she had been doing this with everyone all day long (also note that her arguement about why we were wrong didn't even make any sense). I was at the end of my rope with her so I literally walked over, spun her chair back around to the counter where her chart was and said "This conversation is between Steve and I, it does not involve you, please stay out of it. If we want your input, we will ask you for it." The doctor was totally shocked and laughed but later thanked me for shutting her up.

People like that can ruin my day everytime!

In your profession, especially - her actions wasted the time you and the doctor had for patient care - and that can be dangerous.

It really was a toss up between Know it all's and the Overly religious. But I picked the overly religious for this one. Both are a big pain in the butt for me.

Loud people...Tougher to get away from those people.
