Bootlegger Busted
From Uncle Joe www.unclejoe.com this morning

Did you ever really wonder what would happen if someone posted a major band's unreleased music online without permission? Well 27-year-old Kevin Cogill found out yesterday morning when F.B.I. agents arrested him on suspicion of violating federal copyright laws after he posted nine unreleased Guns N' Roses songs on Antiquiet.com in June. Of course the songs brought so much traffic to Kevin's site that it crashed, and even though the songs were removed while the F.B.I was looking for Kevin, the G n' R tunes had already spread all across the Internet. In case you were wondering, Cogill's next stop is a Federal court hearing.

He deserved to get arrested. Not for sharing songs, but for being a Guns n' Roses fan.

Re: Bootlegger Busted
Seriously.
An album that has taken 10 yrs???
Better be the fucking White Album on acid.
Oh wait. Already did that......
oh and p.s. I cannot help myself - I promised I would be a better person - I shouldn't lie to myself like that.
On another site there is a thread about a new industry mag and the band formerly known as "journey" is on the cover. The singer, AP, is wearing round sunglasses - so now he is being compared to John Lennon.
I was going to get really pissed, but then I thought "Hell, at least Perry is getting a break"

Re: Bootlegger Busted
oh and with G & R bootleg at this point WHO WOULD CARE except the bands
management--if the public thinks the new CD is crap no one will buy it it, when the
stuff comes out. Does that remind you of Napstar and Arrival??? with the leaks of
the songs months before the CD came out.
and on the cover of that magazine ZZ TOP rocks.
