I've actually read Rip's stuff on Metal Sludge from way before he joined MR.

I'd like to see Dean back here, but that is between him and Behshad I guess. Heard from him not long ago and he is doing well. I miss him and Joey going at it online.

+1 I think he's an asset over here. If the PTB didn't want a board that would sometimes have contentious (with MR/andrew) topicality bubble up, then why have a seperate board? It doesn't make sense.

I say, bring him back and return to the original focus surrounding this board's creation. It'll be a hit...

I have been given a lot of latitude here, and it's appreciated. My opinion is that having Dean here would be a plus. He and Joey going at it would be fun reading.

WTF should be an alternative take to the current cheerleading at melodicrock. For anyone who doesn't like it, stop taking it all so seriously. I am funny. So is Joey, Dean and the other MR banished ones. There are also great posters like Niggy, Liam and Styxman who puke at what they see at the MR forum. Who the fuck cares about washed up bands and what they will do in 2009?

I always have The Annex, but I really like that this site has a lot of the old crew. I certainly wish some others would participate more instead of drinking the kool aid where everyone must toe the party line.

and it resonates to what I've said. If the differences of this place vs. MR.com aren't going to be hilighted, why bother even keeping this place open. I think the potential for this place to become and/or return to what MR.com was...is tremendous. But in order to do that, some heated discussions need to be allowed.

This board will never have more participation because people are afraid of some of the members here. You know who you are and know it to be true. I guess it gets some people off to have others fear them. If that's what does it for you, go for it. Just don't be surprised when and why you're isolated.

Your online personality may or may not be who you really are, but it's certainly who people think you are.

All the negativity toward MR, Andrew, Journey and Arnel is unnecessary and will only guarantee even less participation. The fact that it's allowed to continue is incredible. But it's not my board, so I'll just object when I see it, every fucking time.

Like Frank said, there is no sense having a copycat of MR Rick.

I really don't care about anyone's online perseption of me. Some of your MR buds are total scum. That's just the truth. Some great posters who used to be there are on my site. Why do you think that is?

Well Rick, it can be said for MR also. One of the reasons I left was because of some ridicule that I got over some of my OPINIONS.(and those opinions were not of Arnel) I learned at MR that if you are not part of the "elitist" group, and I am sure you know who I am speaking of, that you are only allowed to agree with them or your are ignored. Sounds like a real enlightened group to me. There are many heads over there and alot of them have many many faces.

Remember that when you point a finger at someone, 3 more are pointing back at you.
