Is Revelation the end?
Anyone else think Revelation will be the LAST album of new material we see from Journey?

Re: Is Revelation the end?
We'll see one or two more, probably... then the band will retire as a recording and touring unit.
Neal will plug away for a long time with various side projects with Deen that kick ass but commercially fail... Captain Friga will release a few elevator/porno music instrumental albums, Ross will go be Ross somewhere and Arnel Pineda will put out a few solo records on the Frontiers label.

No, I don't think it will be the last, if..........Revelation is a success and gets tremendous feedback. I can't see more than one more though. At this stage of the game, how many revisits can you make to the same movie, as in Revelations 2 and Revelations 3. I don't see the band progressing any further in their music.

Re: Is Revelation the end?
What if they progress into.. Progressive?!
Wait, they've already been progressive... so would they be regressing into progressive?
Then at this stage would they be known as regressive progressive?
Or just straight regressive?
...*puff*
....dude. my whole Journey dude... has just been... stressive.

Re: Is Revelation the end?
IF...IF Revelations does well I think we will see more albums from Journey. I think the tour this summer is going to be a hit especially with Heart and Cheap Trick along.
As for Journey "progressing" in their music, well they have a signature sound and the will be, pardon the pun, faithful to that sound.
I wonder if they will go back and redo Arrival with Arnel?
Ed will have to change his screen name though!

Re: Is Revelation the end?
I really can't see Neal pulling the plug on Journey tours while he can still play guitar. It's too much of a cash cow. But they may stop recording new music.ProgRocker53 wrote:We'll see one or two more, probably... then the band will retire as a recording and touring unit.
