Well that one is the 400 pound gorilla in the room of course. You can try to ignore it, but you know it's there.

Cool interview! And he knows a great vocalist when he hears one.

So it wasnt his Vocals that was going out, but he had issues with his hearing that cause all the hoopla

Because Andrew has class?
Why bring it up now? That was 3 yrs ago. The band discussed (or denied) it. Why continue beating a dead horse? Everyone knows it happened. Time to move forward, not look back.

Re: Steve Augeri Interview
Well in that case...what's he going to say? He will NEVER throw anyone under the bus or speak badly of any Journey members.
So what will he say?? That it was his idea?? That it was all his fault??
I took the part of his answer where he said he didn't have the backbone to stand up to them to include that entire period of time. From the non stop touring to Tapegate.

Re: Steve Augeri Interview
To me its not throwing them under the bus if theyre the fuckers driving the bus.
If any band member of Journey that was mistreated the way he was, they need to speak up and lay out all the facts to show what scums Neal/Cain and the management are.

Steve will never be the one to do that. I'm telling you, he is an incredible human being. To him, they gave him a great opportunity. And for that alone, he will remain loyal to them.
His capacity for kindness and caring is just beyond my comprehension some times. We would all be better people if we were like him.
And as an example.....He even emailed Dean to give him his condolences when he lost his child. After the things Dean said about him?? I mean to me that is unbelievable. He could have very easily not said anything at all. But it's just not his heart.

Re: Steve Augeri Interview
Oh what youre saying is Steve, who is so wonderful, kind and caring, will rather remain loyal to his ex-bandmates, than his own fans?
Re: Steve Augeri Interview
I've only had the honor of meeting Mr.Augeri once but he just seemed like an amazing person-he had that "aura" about him~very kind man!!!

How is he not being loyal to his fans?
I can only speak for myself, and I could care less if he ever says anything about Tapegate.

Re: Steve Augeri Interview
Lets put it this way Kel.
I have no doubt in your character judgement. I dont doubt you one single second if you say Steve is one of the most caring, loving man, son, brother, father, grandson, husband or just overall person in the world.
But as a professional singer for an american rock band, he did sink as shallow as the rest of them. Now he could just deny it and sweep it under the rug acting like nothing happened , which is an insult to Journey fans.
On the other hand, if he does at least apologize for the situation he was put in, then he will be seen as a true class act professional musican in my eyes and many others as well.
Now you dont see it the same way cause youre way into him more than an average Journey fan (or Augeri fan for that matter),,,,, but as an example, had JSS done the same thing, as a fan, I wouldnt have given him any kind of respect unless he wouldve at least confirmed and apologized for it to his fans.
Its not about going back to same old crap. Its about recognizing the crap that happened and apologize for it, instead of act like it never happened.
