Upcoming Concerts
My schedule over the next few months has a prog rock flavor:
ASIA - Tuesday 3/3 - Rams Head On Stage Annapolis, MD (front row table - 300 seater)
Jon Anderson - Monday 3/9 - Rams Head On Stage Annapolis, MD
RUSH - Friday - 4/22 - 1st Mariner Arena - Baltimore, MD
U2 - Wednesday - 6/22 - M&T Bank Stadium - Baltimore, MD
Bryan Adams has a Baltimore date next month I'm considering as well if it's an electric full band show.

Asia up close and personal, that'll be a cool gig for sure. U2 doesn't appeal but there again that could be the best of the four?

Doc: The Bryan Adams tour is all stripped down, acoustic shit. He's playing that show here in Lancaster, as well.

Not sure if I'd been into all acoustic. The Baltimore show is a Friday night at the Hippodrome.

Re: Upcoming Concerts
Must be the same set he played in Glasgow Ed - here's a review:
Bryan Adams, Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow

The omens were bleak. After all, was this not the same Bryan Adams (pictured) who drove the nation to distraction for weeks on end with that Robin Hood song? Was he not the same chap subsequently seen gyrating on Top of the Pops with Sporty Spice? And anyway, given that it had been years since his heyday, who could possibly care what he was doing now?
This was the last gig of the UK leg of the Bare Bones tour. The set was, indeed, bare, comprising a piano, a guitar, two mouth organs and some large lamps. The music was also pared to the bone. “I wanted you to hear how they sounded when I first wrote them,” Adams told a sold-out Concert Hall. The wisdom of this decision was soon confirmed.
Pianist Gary Breit provided excellent accompaniment on a number of the songs, but for the most part it was just vocals and acoustic guitar. Opening with Run to You and featuring all the hits, including the infernal Everything I Do, Adams displayed not only considerable vocal dexterity in belting this stuff out for two hours, but also a real talent on guitar. In The Heat Of The Night had some lovely swampy touches, reminiscent of Tony Joe White and everything else, from The Kids Wanna Rock to the Oscar-nominated Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman were given a fresh-sounding makeover. We even had a piper during Cuts Like a Knife, the brave fellow forced to play whilst walking through the adoring horde.
A mandatory one-star deduction for Robin Hood, but if ever a show proved the adage, less is more, this was it.

Have to miss Jeff's show next week in LA. But might be seeing a few small shows like Helix, Kim Mitchell, etc. And darned if April Wine isn't going to be here the same weekend I'm going to be in LA at the BIG ONE.....

As much as I'd like to go see Jeff and hang out, I just can't jump on planes for every show. I hate fucking flying anyway for the most part. I will catch up with him again in the spring with TSO.
Helix and April Wine = pretty cool.

I hear ya. Although I don't mind flying, this January show couldn't be worse timing for me and I told Dean and them that. With TSO not hitting Calgary either, it just hasn't been my year for seeing Jeff. I have to train a new person at work here in January and with the Mr Big show being only 2 months out from that one, I also just can't do both $$ wise either..........and seeing MB live was already confirmed, and has been a long time coming.
LOL, haven't see Helix live since back in the 80s. And if April Wine wasn't playing here the same weekend as MB in LA, I'd for sure be at that show, saw them a couple years ago, they still sound GREAT, soooo many hits and Myles can still bring it vocally pretty damn good! So many great old party tunes.........

Re: Upcoming Concerts
Deb, didn't April Wine just lose their long time drummer? I think he had retired and was pretty up there in age. Forget where I read that.

Yep, Jerry retired I think in '09, they have a new drummer now. I saw them here shortly before he retired, we were absolutely amazed, at 70 years old, he was still a friggin' animal behind the kit....it was great.
I couldn't have been more thrilled to see two of my all-time favorite Canadian bands finally get their Hall Of Fame awards in the last few years. April Wine and Triumph!
Triumph '08 - Right here in Calgary, was friggin' GREAT!
April Wine '10
Both were some of the best concerts I've been to. Especially Triumph..........behind Mr Big, they are the band that I would most like to see re-unite.
