Paging Dan/Matt and anyone else interested in M3 in June
We need to discuss ticket plans tomorrow night.
I can do an airport pickup that Friday at BWI Airport.
Just make sure someone can drive to O'Hare when I fly in for MRFest in May.

Re: Paging Dan/Matt and anyone else interested in M3 in June
Do you have PayPal by any chance so I could send you the ticket money? I THINK you are a pre-sale/club member so I presume you're buying the tix since we need seats together? If you do, just let me know which ticket you're buying and gimme ur account and I'll get you the cash b4 the sale starts.
As far as the airport pickup at BWI, sounds good, I'll have to check with Dan and see if he wants us both to just fly and meet up or if he wants to fly here and I drive us up - he talked about that before. It might be just as easy to meet up at the airport by the time it's all said and done though.
At any rate, let me know about the PayPal/ticket buying situation since we're gettin seats together and hopefully Dan will chime in about how he wants to travel.

He's too busy looking at gay porn and dreaming about Jason! Thanks for the invite, but I just sank $2600 in this project, and I'm getting ready to drop another $500. I won't be going ANYWHERE any time soon. Also, I'll be using up two weeks of leave when Alex comes down here in April. Sorry bro, but I'll have to take a rain-check!
Re: Paging Dan/Matt and anyone else interested in M3 in June
Just to let you guys know I didn't grab anything during the pre-sale. The venue switched from Ticketmaster to some outfit called "Ticketfly" who clearly couldn't handle things as their server kept on crashing. I now LOVE Ticketmaster and miss it. Had my seats year with no hassle in the first few rows.
I'm going to scout out seats during the general sale tomorrow morning if there is still interest.

Some examples of opinions of Ticketfly:
roundtrip Member Posts: 131 | Clearly not a professional organization. Finally a company that made me WISH for LiveNAtion or Ticketmaster. This company is not prepared to handle the demand. Got my tickets after getting shut out by the system several times. It was a bunch of horseshit!

Mira Basich Member Posts: 3 | As much as I hate the ticket fees from Ticketmaster I would rather pay more and get the seats I wanted! Couldn't get 3VIP tix together at exactly 10am so we ended up left center, Ugh!

JCisso Member Posts: 2 | Absolutely ridiculous...Their server is still crashing...And like the previous post was in at 10:00 and couldnt get three either...even after selecting them in the seating chart still said no. Very unprofessional and probably not going to make the event...

Then the site crashed for another 5 min. the only thing left went i was able to get back on were lawn seats. Does anyone know if there will be VIP seats available tomorrow. Ticketfly really sucks!!! I still on planning to go to the show. I simply can't miss the Scorpions and the rest of the bill is pretty good.

Re: Paging Dan/Matt and anyone else interested in M3 in June
I'M SO FUCKING PISSED! Clearly Ticketfly doesn't have their shit together!! I was logged in at exactly 10:00am and the system kept crashing as well. I FINALLY got in at 10:32am and all the VIP tix were sold out! I did read on the pre-sale email that was sent, that there was no limit on VIP pre-sale tix and I bet that the hackers bought them all up to resale on the black market at a higher price! REALLY PISSES ME OFF! I ended up with 2 tix in center pavillion, row NN, seats 128-129.

Pam I just found 3 in your row too. The problem with Ticketfly is you can hold tickets and keep searching = very unfair.

YEP, It WAS Scalpers!!
Dear Loyal M3 Rocker,
The producers of the M3 Rock Festival are striving to create the best 80's metal festival in the US. We will continue to take feedback and suggestions from all of our loyal fans and will learn and do it better every year.
After searching all over for a venue to launch a 80's metal festival we chose Merriweather Post Pavilion because there are no bad seats, cheap airfare into BWI airport and plenty of hotels with reasonable rates. The feedback we received last year is that you, the fans loved the venue and had a blast at the festival.
We presented a presale to all fans registered on our website as well as fans who purchased tickets last year with some discounts and availability to buy tickets before they go on-sale to the general public. We made tickets available on a first come first served basis and the presale has not sold out yet.
Unfortunately, ticket scalpers with automated "bots" hounded the ticketing system at 10:00AM, this morning putting many seats into a temporary hold. The safeguards put in places prevented scalpers from getting the tickets but it slowed the system down and frustrated many of you. However, the system did work to the scalpers advantage and were able to sell out hundreds of the VIP tickets that were available in the first minutes and many people got the seats they wanted. Everybody wants the best seats, but with 1,000s of people buying seats, obviously that won’t happen for everyone.
A handful of VIP tickets will be released with tomorrows general public on-sale as well as seats in all price levels. As fans ourselves, we understand your frustration and promise we will try and do better in the future as well as looking at expanding the number of VIP tickets next year. We will also continue to regularly communicate information to our loyal fans through emails and social media avenues. For those loyal fans still looking for tickets we wish you good luck tomorrow morning and those rockers who got their tickets we will see you in June to start the best 80’s hair metal party.......
Thanks for your support!

Re: Paging Dan/Matt and anyone else interested in M3 in June
I can't justify $175 for VIP in the pit. Other than the Scorps, who are meta Hall of Famers, these are all bands I simply "like". Could give fuck 1 if I met anyone in Cinderella, Winger or anything like that. If it were free beer THEN it would be worth it.
We can meet a lot of these guys in the Sheraton bar the night before.
