I think Arnel is a class act. However I hear issues with his diction singing for Journey and it sounds weird to me. After Journey used up Augeri, used tapes, then screwee over JSS, I am done. Some of my criticisms of AP were labeled as "racist" when I was banished, but now come up on MR all the time. "Whooshe go oh whooshe stay" It sounds weird, sorry.

Then I don't know why the fuck you were banned. That was an eloquent and objective response. You take issue with certain qualities of his voice, not the person himself.

What's the big deal?

I got banned because I got drunk one night and alleged that Andrew's show in South Bend was bailed out by Irving Azoff. I was ripped. Freely admit it. Someone told me that, and I parroted it. I think Andrew would tell you the same.

That's weird.

If it's any consolation, I was banned on MelodicRock under the user name Strange Medicine. And I wasn't drunk when I made my remarks.

I was rather harsh with Andrew, and he was magnanimous enough to give me a second chance. But it surprises me that people like Deano are allowed to remain while people like ScarabGator are driven off.

Honestly, I don't know where this reputation of mine comes from. But I know it's not the first place that has commented on it. I realize that I'm sarcastic and blunt, but it's a far cry from the ranting and pretentious ravings of certain MR posters. When I comment, I try to back it up and hear the other person out.

I think it's a solid case of people trying to read INTO posts rather than just reading them.

ScarabGator was not banned, he has simply chosen not to participate there...or here for that matter anymore.

Scarab wasn't banned, to my knowledge. But apparently he was "flirting" (in a relatively classy and polite manner) and it irked other members and they threw a fit about it. It justifiably hurt his feelings and surprised him, so he left. Andrew sided with them on the issue.

Which is weird because Deano and Stevew2 (two of my favorite posters) are much more blatant in their sexual remarks. No subtlety.

And no one cares.

And yeah, I had fun. Tons of it, and I'll be back to comment more.

I hope you'll show me my tribute thread on the Annex eventually.

The Annex thing is another story. All I can say is I don't undertand the thread. It wasn't bad, so don't think too much about it. Just weird that somone I did not know on MR had a thread is all.

I really don't get the issues that some on MR or my site have/had with "Gideon". I am sure it has to do with Journey bullshit - and I am done with that band anyway.

Comes down to a few answers:

Some people don't like being out-reasoned by a teenager, who doesn't get intimidated.
Some people find his more debate-style of posting wearing to read.
Some people don't like the fact that he can out-think certain other people
Some people flat out disagree with him on pretty much everything, but hate that he can out-talk them.

For myself - I like Giddy, and every so often I remind him to pull the stick out of his butt. He's got brains, a sense of humour, and he can argue a point without resorting to bullying people into submission. I'm still waiting for him to come up with a topic I can really getting into an argument with him over. Laughing
