I deleted my facebook account

Just an FYI

"Timeline" blows. I may sign in with a fresh account, but I didn't like that they were going to make it easier for your entire posting history to be so easily accessible in the new format.

I've had the Timeline for quite awhile now and I don't like it either. I do like the idea of the banner but only my panoramic shots work....my other photos, which are high resolution, high megapixel from an SLR and large, don't work in it...they are cut off too much so it's disappointing that I can't really highlight some of my photography or art in the banner...only portions, except for the panoramic photos. I rarely post on FB now since the change.

Hasn't kicked in on mine yet. Hopefully never does. Can you at least delete stuff pretty easily? I don't have any bad stuff that I wouldn't want an emplyoer to find, but I've got some stupid shit my friends and past girlfriends and what not have written on there.

Past posts will be segmented into years, then in order going back to your first post. So it is quicker to go back in history by clicking on the year instead of just forever scrolling thru the whole thing. It's like a scrapebook...and you can go back and add things into each year wherever you want between posts and tell your whole life history back to when you were born in order, if you want. It's not all bad once you get use to it and it looks better...but I don't like the staggered posts along the "timeline" in the middle...instead of just scrolling straight down the page like before. You can delete things easily, though, as far as posts go. Finding "liked" pages and going through the friend list isn't as easy now, I've found. They need to keep working on it. By the way...you'll have no choice....they've said everyone will be switched over to the Timeline eventually. You can't opt out,...you will have 7 days after you click on it to start to delete and whatever else you want to do before it will actually go into effect. You'll see the Timeline but no one else will for 7 days.

You have to delete every single post individually. After being on there for 3.5 years that is next to impossible.

Terrible. I'm blowing it up and maybe starting over. Maybe. This is an evil scam. Went back on tonight to download contacts and any pics or videos I may not have backed up but I'm killing the current account after that.

I didn't have that problem and didn't delete anything when it started. I did post music often like I have on forums but I would delete once a week as I went along once folks had a chance to check them out if they wanted to. Since they aren't my vids or music I didn't want to leave them on there. All YouTube vids. They have Spotify for music now but I haven't taken the time to check that out further after I downloaded it, yet.

No there is not! I deleted my account once and was off for awhile but a couple long distance cousins and my Aunt badgered me to get back on too, since it is the main way they keep up with me. I deleted a ton of artists peeps because I couldn't keep up with everyones work and kept getting a ton of requests all the time to "like" their business pages. I mainly keep it open now to keep up with a couple cousins I mentioned. They post their work sometimes as they are musicians and my cousin Diana is a professional photographer and travels all over the world. She's in Africa taking pictures this month so I always look forward to her updates.
